Hormones in our bodies are very important as they regulate many things in both men and women. Throughout the day, the levels of testosterone change, as it is highest in the morning and lowest at night.

Reasons to have this test done include infertililty (low testesterone leads to low sperm counts), sexual problems, find the cause of osteoporosis in men, irregular periods in women, or why a woman is showing male features. To have this test done, you really do not have to do anything to prepare. Your doctor simply has a blood test done, typically in the morning, since levels are at their highest at that point.
